Your headshot is the first impression people will have before meeting you. A great headshot can make sure that impression is a positive one.

Are you worried about how you look in photos? Everyone is capable of looking great in pictures, it just takes the right photographer to bring out the best in you. It is my job to make you look great in photos.

We have same day viewing and delivery for our in studio sessions.

The Process

Pre-consultation

After you contact us we will set up a time to have a brief phone call so we can discuss your photo shoot. We can schedule an in person consultation where I will meet you at my studio or a location of your choice. We will discuss possible session locations, wardrobe and talk about your how you would like to be photographed. There’s no one in the world like you — That’s why I’ll work carefully with you to create the headshot you want. I offer photos in my studio and on location.

Photography Session

During our session, I fully guide you on posing and expressions. We work together to make sure you get the photos you are looking for. Finding your angle is a big step in making sure you look good in your headshot. I have tricks to reduce the ‘double chin’ effect if that is a concern. We will make sure you are conveying the type of personality you want in your images. I can help you look like the confident, approachable, and interesting professional you are.

Same Day Viewing and Delivery

We have same day viewing and delivery for our in studio sessions. Right after our session, I take about 15 minutes to sort through and lightly edit your photos. We then go through the photos together to choose the images you want. You chosen images are then professionally retouched and will be emailed to you that same day. This means you don’t have to wait weeks to see how your images have turned out. We accept cash and credit for these sessions.

What if I’m not photogenic? 

Everyone is capable of looking great in pictures, it just takes the right photographer who is willing to push people through the walls they’ve built around themselves. It is my job to make you look great in photos.

Who needs a professional headshot?

Everyone should have a professional headshot. It is crucial for bushiness owners and their employees to have professional headshots taken. Your headshot is the first impression people will have before meeting you. A great headshot can make sure that impression is a positive one. There is a saying that you have to dress for the job you want. If you want to be taken seriously in your field, you have to make sure that you look the part.

How do I choose a headshot photographer?

Start by looking through their images and making sure you like their style. The next thing you should do is set up a consultation with your potential photographer to get to know them and see how you guys connect. Ask them questions like how they direct the shoot and any other questions you may have.

What is it like during the shoot?

I fully guide and direct you to get the images you want to have. It’s my job to create an atmosphere that you feel safe to be yourself in. This will allow me to capture your personality and natural reactive expressions.

How many different outfits can I bring?

A mini session will have 1 outfit and a standard session will have multiple outfit changes included. If you choose a standard session, we can use as many outfits as we can fit in during the session. Bring as much as you want for the standard session and we will go in order from most important outfit to least important so that we make sure you have what you are looking for.

How much does this cost?

The average client investment is between $250-$450, some spend less and some spend more.

Do you offer payment plans and what forms of payment do you take?

Yes we do have payment plans. We accept cash, check, and credit cards.

Where does the photo session take place?

The studio portraits are done in my studio space located in Hampshire Illinois. We have forest preserves near by if you would like some photos in a natural setting also. If you would like us to come to your company location, we have an option for that too. We will go over this in more detail during our consultation.

Will you retouch my images?

Yes. All chosen/purchased images will be professionally retouched. I will first make you look your best through posing and lighting. Blemishes will be removed. Wrinkles can be softened, and any minor imperfections can be taken care of. I will do a basic color correction, remove stray hairs, fix glare in glasses, even out skin tone, and make everyone look like the best versions of themselves.

Do I need to hire a makeup artist?

It is important to get your hair and make up professionally done for your headshot. You can add hair and make up with our stylist for an additional $125.

How long is it before I get to see my photos?

If you do an in studio session, you will get to see and choose your images the same day. After our shoot I take about 15-20 minutes to sort through and lightly edit your photos. We then look through them together to choose the ones you want and those will be professionally retouched and emailed over the same day. If you do an outdoor or on location session, we will meet up within 2 weeks after our shoot to go through and choose your final images.

What happens if I need to reschedule my session?

We understand that sometimes unexpected emergencies arise that will prevent you from keeping your original scheduled appointment. We are able to provide a one-time reschedule if you notify us a minimum of 48 hours prior to your appointment. Additional reschedules will require a fee of $150 per occurrence, and are subject to schedule availability.
