Our studio offers milk bath and bath bomb photography sessions. These are some of my favorite sessions to do. Clients typically meet me in my home where we utilize my master bathroom which has a large soaker tub. I can also do these sessions in the privacy of your own home if you have a soaker tub.

Relaxation and Pampering

Milk Bath/bath bomb Sessions are an empowering and a beautiful way to capture gorgeous images either before, during, or after pregnancy. Taking time to relax in this quiet boutique session is just one of the many ways to pamper yourself. You can add professional hair and makeup with one of our hair and makeup artists to make it the perfect day of pampering.

Spa like experience

I like to give off a spa-like experience from the moment you arrive. I clear the area all around my tub and sink so everything super clean and open. I also provide you with a fresh towel and shower to use if you need. Once dressed in your milk bath attire, I have you first recline into the water while I strategically place the flowers in the bath tub. We’ll do some adjusting throughout the session since the flowers move around easily between posing.

Beautiful Fresh Flowers

I offer my clients complimentary florals for their milk bath/bath bomb session. I use fresh florals because they float and it adds to the relaxing experience. The artificial flowers tend to just sink. The botanical influence is selected and used to enhance the images as well as to create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

Bath Bombs are Colorful Fun

If you choose a bath bomb session, I provide bath bombs in the 2 colors you want for your session. The bath bombs are so much fun because of how the fizz in the water. They also smell amazing and are great for your skin.

Client Wardrobe Use Included

I have gorgeous lace dresses you can borrow for our session if you’d like. They are very feminine and elegant — perfect for these sessions. You can also choose to do these sessions in lingerie or in the nude.

Where do you do these sessions? Will it be private?

These sessions are done in my in-home studio which is located in Hampshire Il. I can also do them in your home if you have a soaker tub. It’s totally private except for me, my makeup artist if you include her, and sometimes a female assistant to help and make sure everything looks perfect if needed!

What do I bring with me?

You should bring a dry change of clothes to go home in and any outfits you would like to be photographed in. I have clean towels and a shower available for after the session.

Is the water warm or cold? 

I make sure the water is as warm as you would like it to be.

How deep is the water? 

I fill the tub up a little under halfway.

What exactly is in it? 

The milk bath is mostly water and powdered milk. If you have any allergies or skin sensitivities, please let me know ahead of time so I can use an alternative.  The bath bomb sessions are colored bath bombs. They typically have essential oils in them.

How do you come up with the concepts and what about outfit changes?

Our session is a collaboration between both of us. I will ask you about your interests and hobbies, plus what outfits you are thinking about wearing, and we’ll see what we can come up with. I’m open to ideas that you may have.

How long do the sessions take?

These sessions can take up to 2 hours. It just depends on how many different outfits you would like. The bath-bomb ones take a little longer because we do two different colors so that means draining and refilling the tub.

Can I wear my contacts? 

Yes, you can wear contacts! Your face will not be going under the water unless you would like it to.

Will you help me pose?

I walk you through each pose and I coach your facial expressions so we get the best photos.

What should I wear and will my outfits get ruined?

That’s really up to you and your style. For every session I have a consultation meeting before your photo shoot where we will talk about outfits. I have dresses available for you to use if you would like. I have not had any clothing items ruined in the bath yet, but of course can’t guarantee that.
