Memorable maternity photographs are priceless. Pregnancy is the most special and unique time in your life and our mission is to capture your inner strength and beauty through timeless works of art. Make sure to document this special time because though you may become pregnant again, you will never be pregnant with the same child again.
When is the best time in my pregnancy to schedule my maternity session?
28 to 32 weeks is perfect for most moms to be. This is a time frame where your beautiful belly is of ample size yet you’re not as “puffy” and uncomfortable as you may be in your last 4 to 6 weeks. Though we have shot maternity sessions up close to delivery with beautiful results.
How do I prepare for the session?
*Gather your shoes and other accessories you will bring with to the shoot.
*Get a manicure and a pedicure a day or two in advance. Do face mask daily for a few days before the session will add glow to your skin.
*Go through our site and save poses/ideas you may have for your session.
Do you provide Dresses/Fabrics/Wraps?
Yes. Our studio provides a full wardrobe that includes an exquisite selection of beautiful sheer silks and other fabrics for draping as well as stunning gowns and lace robes. You are welcome to also bring dresses you may like.
You can also bring lingerie and statement jewelry.
We recommend that you bring Maternity Shape wear in nude for under our gowns. These can be found on Amazon.
Can my partner or my child be in the pictures?
Absolutely! The father of your child is welcome and encouraged to join. We invite them to join you towards the latter part of your session.
Does time of the day matter when scheduling a maternity shoot?
In-studio maternity sessions are done with professional lighting equipment so the time of the day does not matter.
Outdoor (park, beach session) is scheduled to start 2 hours before sunset time. Sessions with children is best scheduled at times when the kids will be most happy and energetic. Avoid nap and meal time.
Do I have to be nude?
Not at all. All of my maternity sessions are customized and tailored to the wants and needs of each client. Some clients prefer clean and simple artistic nude photographs and wraps, while others prefer to wear less revealing outfits or to be fully clothed.
Will you guide me and help me pose?
I fully guide you throughout your session, posing you, adjusting your hair, helping with outfits and making sure you feel comfortable and relaxed.
I would like to take similar images/poses that I saw in your portfolio. Is that allowed?
Yes. You can pick your favorite lighting/backdrop set ups and poses from my portfolio and you are welcome to bring your own ideas as well.
Will my images stay private?
Your maternity images will not be used in any way without your written permission. We never require you to let us share your photos.

About the Photographer
My name is Lorraine and I have a passion for helping you to see yourself the way others see you and for showing you your real beauty. I want you to know you’re perfect just the way you are. I am very dedicated to my client’s happiness and I fully guide you in the posing process. I have been on both sides of the camera so I know what it feels like to be vulnerable in front of it.
When was the last time you were professionally photographed? One day your children, significant others, family and friends will look for portraits of you they will treasure for years to come, what will they find? My portrait clients come to my studio for the transformative and healing experience which comes with a portrait shoot. They come to my studio for that extra boost of self-esteem, or to celebrate themselves or a milestone in their lives.
