Enchanted Unicorn photography sessions are special birthday & keepsake heirloom moment you & your child will treasure for years to come!
These are styled Photo Sessions. The photographer provides all Princess & Fairy Dresses / Props / & headpieces. Feel free to bring your own dress along as well.
Derby is a miniature horse who loves to play dress-up with children! Derby is a live animal with a mind of his own. He loves children and is very sweet, loving and gentle but children need to be sure and be told to stay calm and quiet around him. These are VERY limited availability so book soon!
Sessions will take place at our farm in Hampshire Il. Once you have scheduled your time slot, I will provide the address and instructions.

A liability waiver is required to be signed at the time of your session.
A handler will be present at the session for safety and to help position Derby when needed.
Some children can be scared and timid around horses. Please take this into consideration before booking if your child has shown fear around other animals.

What do we need to bring?
You will need to bring shoes (we suggest ballet flats or strappy sandals, or just plain barefoot), a tight-fitting bandeau top (some of the bodices of the dresses are thin), and an excited princess with clean, dry hair, face, and nails.
How long is the shoot?
The mini session is 20 minutes. You can also do a full session which is a 60 minute shoot.
What is included?
This is a fully styled session. We will have a variety of dresses and coordinating headpieces for you and your daughter to choose from. Use of props. Five fully retouched, high-resolution files will be delivered via digital download after the shoot. Additional digital files will be available for purchase if you so choose. If you choose the full hour long session, all edited digital images are included as well as a 15% discount on any products you order.
How do I book?
It’s easy! Email us at capturedbylorraine@gmail.com We will then send you a form to fill out to complete your booking process, including your preferred time. We will try to stick as close to that time as possible. The best time for these shoots is in the 2 hours before sunset. Please note, there is a retainer fee due at the time of booking. Cash, check and credit is accepted.
Where is it?
Hampshire Illinois. Once you have paid your deposit, we will let you know the exact address.
What is the cancellation policy?
Because we have such a limited time frame for these portraits, the session retainer is non-refundable. We will do our best to reschedule as long as you give us at least 48 hours’ notice. No-shows forfeit the entire session retainer.
Can I give this as a gift?
Absolutely!
How much are additional images?
Each additional image is $99. You have the option to purchase wonderful products or the full digital image set. Pricing is subject to change and will be sent out before our photo shoot.
What if I don’t like the dresses?
There will be multiple dresses available in each size, so you will have a selection. That being said, if your daughter has a dress she absolutely loves and wants to wear, please just let us know!
What if it rains?
If it rains, we can reschedule for a date and time that works for both of us.
What is the age range for these shoots?
We have dresses in sizes 5 to 10 years. Due to the nature of the shoot, we are recommending that if a girl wants unicorn pictures, she is at least 4 years old. This is for safety reasons. While the unicorn is small, and the handler will also have a lead rope; he is still a live animal, and we want to take all the proper precautions.
How do I contact you?
Can I pay less for a shorter time?
20 minutes is the minimum time required per shoot.
Can we use two dresses?
Due to time constraints, there will be a limit of one dress per girl for the 20 minute mini session. If you choose the full session which is 60 minutes you get to have multiple dress changes.
When do I get the images?
We will have an in person photo reveal where you get to see your portraits and pick which ones you would like to have. You can also purchase any additional images or products you may want. You will receive the high resolution digital images that you choose/purchase the same day as our ordering session via digital download. Products will be delivered between 2-6 weeks after they are paid in full.
Can I share them on FB?
Absolutely!
How do I print?
Once you have the digital files, however, you can choose to print wherever you choose, but we cannot guarantee the quality of any vendor other than our own.
“About the Photographer” Yes, that is me
I am an animal lover! I have been all my life. I often got called “Elmyra” the little girl who goes “I’ll hug him and love him and squeeze him!” because I would get over excited and have to play with every animal I saw. I am also obsessed with big poofy dresses and fairy tale magic. I have a lot of experience with animals. Your child’s safety and happiness is number one with me. I am very skilled at photo shopping out leashes and assistants that may be used during our session. The horse handler is always near by for both the horse and your princess. I capture genuine emotion and your child’s unique personality during our shoot through play and through specific posing. We will dance and laugh throughout our time together.
